How To Add Contacts in Windows 8

Windows 8 is Microsoft’s new flagship Operating System (OS). The entire user look and feel of Windows has changed with this release. In place of a start screen is a Windows tile screen. The way you manage contacts has even changed. In this post, we will show you how to create a new contact in Windows 8.

After you login to Windows 8 you are immediately presented with the Windows Tile screen.

1. Click People and the following screen appears:

2. Right-click on the screen or swipe up if touch enabled and click New.

3. Enter all applicable information and click Save.

Adding Social Accounts to Contacts

Now that you know how to add contacts, it is important for you to know how to connect your social networks such as Twitter and Facebook so you can see everything that is happening with your contants in one place.

1. On the People window, click the small M for Microsoft.

2. Select Add Account.

3. Select the applicable social network account you want to use.

4. You will be prompted to enter your credentials and your contacts will be connected and updated automatically. An icon appears in the top right-hand corner showing you what accounts you have connected.
