How to Scan Credit Cards Into Your iOS 8 Device

With iOS 8 you now have the option when browsing in Safari to scan and save credit card information on file for online purchasing. Let’s walk through how to perform this option.

Here are the steps:

1. Power on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Safari (Figure A).
4. Tap Password & AutoFill (Figure B).
5. Tap Saved Credit Cards (Figure C).
6. Enter Passcode if applicable. It’s highly recommended that you use a passcode if you’re saving credit card information, for obvious reasons (Figure D).
7. Tap Add Credit Card Figure E).
8. Tap Use Camera (Figure F).
9. Place your credit card in the position of the rectangular frame on the screen. The credit card information is scanned automatically. Tap Done to save the information (Figure G.)
